Coffee Related Gifts for Everyone On Your List
The holiday season is upon us and it’s time to think about gifts for friends and family members. It’s not too late yet! Here, I’ve put together a list of coffee related gifts for specific types of people in our lives. I hope you find this list helpful, and maybe you even find a gift for yourself!
1. For the Difficult Person in Your Life
Local Coffee Shop Gift Card
Gift cards are always a safe bet when getting gifts for people. Giving a gift card for the local coffee shop supports small businesses and allows the receiver to choose what they really want. This option takes a lot of the pressure off of the unexpected!
2. For the Minimalist
Bodum 2 Piece Double Walled Espresso Glasses $11-15
For the people who like to keep it simple, get them something small and useful. We use our double walled espresso glasses every day and they are super classy looking in the kitchen — perfect for making lattes or just for sipping straight espresso. These double walled espresso glasses from Bodum are a gift that is excellent as a stocking stuffer or gift for someone who likes to keep things low key.
3. For the Jet setter
Waka Instant Coffee Packets $12
When traveling by plane, getting a caffeine fix might be everything someone wants but is sometimes difficult to get — limitations on liquids allowed through security, high price of airport coffee, trying not to spill coffee while running to your gate, etc. Waka packets can fit in purses, luggage, compartments of your car, or even your pocket! Then all you need is hot water which is pretty easy to get. Waka instant coffee is an excellent gift or stocking stuffer for our traveling family and friends.
4. For the Book Worm
Have a friend that loves to read or should read more? Onward by Howard Schultz tells the exciting story of Starbucks’ comeback during 2008 and how it remains successful today. This book isn’t completely about coffee, but is an exciting and true story about a world famous coffee company!
5. For Those Who Don’t Want Anything
Coffee beans are something people can use everyday. In our household, we go through a bag of coffee at least once a week. So, if you want to play it safe for gifting, get something you know your friends and family use all the time. Larry’s Coffee is high quality, organic, and eco friendly — much better than Folgers if that’s what your family is used to drinking. Time for an upgrade!
6. For the Beauty Expert
UpCircle Coffee Facial Scrub $16
Coffee grounds are a natural exfoliant and contain antioxidants that fight against aging. This facial scrub from UpCircle is made from coffee grounds and is a fun gift to give to those who are excited about trying new beauty products!
7. For the Creative
Zulay Kitchen Milk Frother $19-22
This milk frother is great for people who like to try out gadgets or make new recipes. It can be used to make a beautiful hot latte, cold foam for an iced beverage, dalgona coffee, and much more! I highly recommend this tool for those who like to get creative in the kitchen.
8. For the Prepper
Cold brew makers are simple and easy to use. For people who don’t enjoy taking time to make coffee in the morning, they can make a big batch of cold brew with this gadget and be set for the week!
9. For the Fashion Enthusiast
Corkcicle Holiday Mug $28-40
This fashionable mug is perfect for those looking to have some flare for the holiday season. Thermal mugs tend to come in plain colors, but this highly efficient mug comes in fun, festive designs that are sure to brighten up anyone’s spirits. For an added bonus, this mug can keep drinks cold for 9 hours and hot for 3 hours!
10. For the Clumsy
Have a friend that’s a hot mess — always spilling drinks, knocking glasses over, or tripping over stuff? This is the gift for them! The mug has a wide base compared to most cups that are skinnier at the bottom to fit in cup holders. The wide base keeps the mug from tipping over. Even if the cup gets dropped, the lid has a cap, so you’re friend won’t spill!
11. For the Outdoors Lover
The Aero Press is an excellent tool for brewing coffee. It also comes in this compact travel set! I use my regular Aero Press for camping purposes, so it’s exciting to see that there is a compact version that is great for fitting in small spaces for easy travel — great for backpacking. I completely recommend this product for friends that like to take trips outdoors. It’s light and easy to clean which is very important when outside!
12. For the Heavy Drinker
Chemex 6-Cup Pour-Over Glass Coffee Maker $45
I don’t drink more than 2 cups of coffee a day, but I’ve worked with people who drink up to 10 cups a day. Brewing 6 cups of coffee, this Chemex pour-over brewer is excellent for those who are heavy coffee drinkers or are brewing coffee for a group of friends.
13. For the Detail Oriented
OXO Brew 6lb Precision Scale with Timer $52
Using a scale when brewing coffee is extremely important when paying attention to detail. Understanding the proper ratios needed during the brewing process is key to gaining the perfect cup of coffee. This OXO precision scale with a timer combines two tools needed to understand where your brewing is at. When analyzing time and weight, you understand if you have the correct grind size and amount of water. This tool is key to brewing the perfect cup of coffee for many different brew methods!
14. For the Coffee Expert
Stagg EKG Electric Kettle $160
Out of all the kettles I’ve ever had, this is by far the best. Stove top kettles tend to take a long time to heat up, you can’t control the heat well, and they get grease splatter on them from cooking on nearby burners. This Stagg EKG electric kettle heats up fast, can be preset for a certain temperature, can hold that specific temperature for up to an hour, and the spout is shaped for the perfect pour for pour-overs. This gift would pair perfectly with the Chemex recommended in part 12!
15. For Those with High Expectations
Breville BES870XL Espresso Machine $600-700
This Breville Espresso Machine is the most expensive recommendation on this list, but by far the most exciting! We purchased this machine for home use after using a different one for 4 years. This Breville machine stomps our previous espresso maker. Its sleek design is perfect for any kitchen, the built in grinder is a game changer, and the pressure gauge helps you understand what quality of espresso is going to come out of the machine. It is an excellent gift for high-end coffee drinkers and those who are well-versed in the coffee world.
