Our Story
This is me and my husband, Jake, when we got engaged on a coffee plantation in Jamaica!
I have a massive passion for coffee, spreading kindness, the outdoors, and for making this earth a better place to live. I majored in Environmental and Ecological Engineering with a minor in Environmental Science at Purdue University. During college, I discovered my love for coffee while working as a barista. I came up with the idea in college to convert a VW Bus into a mobile coffee unit. With my degree, I became a Water Resources Engineer. I helped manage our waterways and mitigate people’s homes from flooding. However, I still held onto the dream of opening a coffee business that would positively impact our community through coffee by providing an opportunity to partake in an environmentally sustainable business.
It has taken several years, but through hundreds of YouTube videos (and a few books), Jake and I have successfully converted a 1971 VW Bus into a mobile coffee unit! We believe the biggest environmental threats are education and motivation. So, in the meantime, I’ve created a blog to help teach and excite you about incorporating sustainability into your daily life.
